Sokhak is 23 years old. She lives in Cambodia where she is a college student studying finance and accounting. She loves to listen to music and (just like anyone else!) loves to update her Facebook.
Ever since she was a child, Sokhak has lived in pain because of a congenital disease. Called bilateral lower limb deformity or ‘knock knee,’ this disease causes her legs to angle outwards, making it painful for her to walk even a few hundred meters. Sokhak has been scared to seek help for her condition because of the financial cost.
For $450, Sokhak will receive an osteotomy, a surgical procedure to correct this deformity. She will be able to move and will be relieved of her leg and ankle pain. Let’s help alleviate Sokhak’s pain and help her focus on her studies!
