Srey Pich is a second grader from Cambodia. She likes watching cartoons.
One year ago, she accidentally got an electrical burn on her hand. She has developed a scar contracture, limiting use of her finger.
When Srey Pich learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On December 20, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery. Surgery can release the tight skin and help improve her hand function. Now, she needs help to fund this $448 procedure.
She says, “I want to use my hand the same again.”

Srey Pich underwent burn repair surgery.
Srey Pich’s surgery went well and she’s about to head home. Srey Pich’s contracture was released, allowing her to open and bend her finger and hold a pencil as she’s right-handed. She looks forward to going back to school and spending time with her friends.
Her mother says, “Thank you for helping my daughter.”
