A few days ago, Mary was knocked over by a motorcycle driver who sped off, leaving her with a fractured wrist. Mary and her husband used up all their savings just to get Mary seen by a doctor.
A 35-year-old mother of two, Mary works as a messenger at a local parts shop and her husband is a mechanic. Mary needs surgery, but she and her husband have no money left to pay for it. “I am pained that I cannot support my wife in the way that she needs right now,” her husband says.
Mary is experiencing severe pain and is unable to use her left hand. If left untreated, Mary will have a dysfunctional wrist due to the chronic pain and will likely lose most functionality in her arm.
Our partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, can treat Mary’s injury with surgery, which will allow her to regain use of her hand. For $890, we can help Mary get back to good health!
