Debu is a 50-year-old mother of two from Nepal. She and her husband work as manual laborers to support themselves and pay for their sons’ educations. They highly value getting their sons educated as a way to help lift them out of poverty.
Recently, Debu was gathering firewood in the forest and slipped when lifting a load. When she came down, she landed upon her outstretched hand. The hand is now very painful and she’s unable to do household chores or her work in the field. This happened during a very important time of year for farming in Nepal.
For $205, we can fund a supportive slab which will allow her metacarpal fracture to heal correctly. It will take some time for it to heal completely, but it should alleviate her pain and allow her to use her hand normally again. Let’s help Debu get back to work and live without pain again!
