Grace is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She has one child who is in primary 3. Sadly, her other child died after a road accident last year. Growing up, Grace enjoyed school and dreamed of becoming a lawyer. However, her eyesight deteriorated and affected her schooling, forcing her to drop out of school. Her husband is a bodaboda motorcycle taxi driver.
Grace is pregnant and her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Grace undergo a C-Section on December 4th. This procedure will cost $252, and Grace needs your support.
Grace says, “Losing my son last year really broke my heart. He had been delivered by surgery and it forced us to sell everything at home to come out of the hospital. This pregnancy came as a miracle; however, I have had the fear of staying at the hospital because I have no money for my surgery. I will surely need your support for the success of my delivery.”
