Ketra is a primary school teacher from Uganda who enjoys watching the news, reading newspapers, and reading storybooks to her children. She has one son, who is in primary school, and one daughter, who is in kindergarten. Her husband operates a motorcycle taxi in their village. Ketra and her family live together in a single-room rental house. She shares that her family’s combined income is enough to meet their day-to-day needs.
Ketra is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because an attempt to deliver naturally could result in uterine rapture, which could be fatal. By having Ketra deliver her child through a C-section, doctors can ensure the safety of both her and her child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Ketra undergo a C-Section on August 12th. Now, Ketra needs your support to fund this $252 procedure.
Ketra says, “I have always had issues while delivering. I battle paying my hospital bill and thus request support to successfully deliver.”
