Mbithe is an friendly seven-year-old girl from Kenya. She is the sixth born child of a family of eight children, and her parents are farmers who own three acres of land. Mbithe’s parents depend on their land to support their family for food and other necessities.
Obstructive hydrocephalus causes Mbithe severe headaches. She is also starting to lose her vision. If Mbithe does not receive treatment soon, she may go blind.
Mbithe’s mother says, “it is quite painful to see my daughter suffer and I have no means of supporting her treatment. I pray and hope for her to get well.” For $1,500, we can fund Mbithe’s surgery, stop her headaches, and restore her vision so she can go to school and enjoy life like a normal kid.
