Antonio is a 48-year-old man from Guatemala with a left arm amputation, the result of an agricultural accident five years ago. Antonio still works in agriculture, but his prosthetic arm wore out a couple of years ago.
Antonio’s first prosthetic was donated and he is not able to afford the $940 it costs for a replacement. He is excited about a fitting for a new prosthetic arm at Wuqu’ Kawoq, but he needs our help to pay for it!
With a new arm, Antonio will be much more effective at work and at home. His functionality will improve, as will his independence and self-confidence. Let’s make it happen for him.

Antonio received a fitting for a prosthetic arm.
Antonio was successfully fitted with a prosthetic arm and he is doing great! Our medical partners reported that he is a real professional at using the device because he had one previously (until it broke). It was second nature to him! Thank you for helping improve Antonio’s arm function, independence, and self-confidence.
Antonio is looking forward to being able to do the things he used to do around the house and at work. The last few years were really tough because, without a functioning arm, his esteem and productivity really suffered. He is very thankful to donors for granting him his new prosthetic arm.
