Daphine is a 37-year-old businesswoman and a married mother of three children. She is a family-oriented woman who finds joy in caring for her family and spending time with her children. She runs a small-scale retail shop, while her husband works in construction to earn a living. Their family lives in a single-room rental home.
Two years ago, Daphine began to experience troubling symptoms, including excessive salivation, difficulty breathing, coughing, drowsiness and fatigue. She was diagnosed with a nodular goiter and needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from worsening.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Daphine receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on November 4th at AMH’s care center, where surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $252, and she and her family need help raising money.
Daphine shared, “I had lost hope of getting treatment until I heard about your support. I wish to continue with my business and continue supporting my family.”
