Kam is a 57-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his wife, his son, and his daughter in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand. He is a hop vendor, while his wife is a homemaker. Both their children go to a migrant school in Mae Sot.
On the 4th of April 2026, Kam bought different vegetables from the main shop to sell them by the roadside. On the way to the market, a truck came behind him and suddenly hit him, making him lose consciousness. He woke up at our medical partner’s care center, where an x-ray which revealed that his left femur is fractured and he needs surgery for it to heal properly. He is in pain, and he cannot move his left leg. His right arm is also in pain, and he cannot walk or stand up.
With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, Kam will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for May 7th and will cost $1,500. This procedure will help Kam to be able to walk and be free from pain so that he will be able to return to his work and support his family.
Kam said, “I really need your help at this moment, and I have no one and no money to help me now. Thank you very much for your support.”
