Chos is a 49-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He has two daughters, and enjoys listening to Khmer songs on the radio and looking after his two grandchildren.
Seven months ago, Chos developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Chos learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On October 08, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Chos said, “I hope I am able to see clearly again so I can return to work and help provide for my family.”
