This handsome young man is Veasna, a four-year-old who lives with his parents and five siblings in Cambodia. Veasna was born with a very rare condition that makes his bones brittle and prone to fractures. As a result of this condition, Veasna has already experienced two fractures and has several deformities in his limbs.
Veasna has never been able to walk, though he has begun standing on his own when he can hold onto something for support. Veasna enjoys playing with toys, and his mother hopes he will one day attend school. Though there is no cure for his condition, surgery can improve Veasna’s mobility and quality of life.
A $375 osteotomy procedure can help protect Veasna’s femurs from future injury, as well as aid in growth and mobility. With our help, Veasna can enjoy life with fewer threats to his healthy development, and eventually attend school!
