Turyamuronda is a small scale farmer from Uganda. He is a widower with four children; all married with no stable jobs however he lost the wife in 2000. Himself practices small scale farming and can’t afford money for his surgery.
Twenty years ago, Turyamuronda has had an inguinal scrotal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and discomfort and if not treated, it may result in intestinal tissue death or damage. Fortunately, on August 20, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Turyamuronda’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Turyomurugyendo says, “I hope to get better after surgery and I continue with farming.”

Turyamuronda received hernia surgery.
Turyomurugyendo received a successful treatment of scrotal hydrocele and right inguinal hernia. He feels more comfortable and relieved from pain, however he has a long recovery time due to the fact that he developed sepsis after surgery. He has been cared for and is now doing well. He hopes to continue with cultivation after full recovery from surgery.
Turyomurugyendo says, “I thank you very much for having supported my surgery because I was afraid where I could get all this money. I am so grateful for your support.”
