Ester is a self-confident 17-year-old girl from Tanzania. Esther lives with her family of six. Her father is a pastor at a church in northern Tanzania, while her mother is a tailor.
Ester began having infected tonsils in 2012. She has been experiencing breathing problems and intermittent chest pains. She often misses school due to her condition. Ester was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause her symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $633 to fund a tonsillectomy for Ester, which is scheduled to take place on November 16. Surgeons will remove her tonsils, hopefully relieving Ester of her symptoms and helping her live more comfortably.
Esther’s mother says, “I am very thankful to God for getting us to the Plaster House because I believe Esther will be treated and get well again. I hope she will be able to continue with her studies and reach her goals in life.”
