Mbabazi is a 31-year-old mother of two who is a third grade teacher in a church-funded school near her home. Her husband is also a teacher. Unfortunately, the onset of the pandemic has affected both of their salaries and their ability to financially support all the needs of their growing family.
Mbabazi is expecting a child, and came to our medical partner’s care center Nyakibale Hospital for antenatal reviews at 38 weeks into her pregnancy. With a history of two previous delivery c-sections, and the current pregnancy in breech presentation, she was advised to deliver through a c-section for a safe outcome for both her baby and herself. Mbabazi hopes to deliver a healthy baby and appeals for financial support for this procedure.
Mbabazi will be receiving assistance from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. Fortunately, she is scheduled to undergo an elective c-section on April 23rd. African Mission Healthcare is requesting $252 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care. The procedure will allow her and her new baby to be safe and healthy once she delivers.
Mbabazi shared, “I really can’t afford this procedure but with your support, I will be grateful and after full recovery, resume my teaching job.”
