Nob has recently struggled to support his family because of his deteriorating eyesight. This 56-year-old man from Cambodia is a father of four and a grandfather of three.
Our partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, writes: “He developed pterygium in both of his eyes around three months ago due to overexposure to the sun, which caused a painful lesion to develop on his eyes. He is unhappy because he can’t plant crops or help with housework because of his blurred vision and he is in a lot of pain.”
For $150, Nob will receive surgery to remove the lesions on his eyes, as well as an auto-graft to the right eye. “I hope the surgery will help improve my eyesight and reduce my pain,” Nob says.
