Belinda, who is 22 months old, lives with her parents in Uganda. Her mother has a small retailing business, and her father does work in town whenever he can find it to earn a living, and to take care of their family.
Belinda has developed a neck swelling. Her family shared that sometimes the discomfort from the swelling causes her to cry, and she is unwilling to eat, as swallowing is painful for her.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is here to facilitate Belinda’s access to the care that she needs. On September 6th, surgeons at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale will remove the mass, which should greatly improve Belinda’s quality of life now and as she grows. Now Belinda and her family need your help to raise $188 to fund this procedure.
Belinda’s mother says: “My daughter has suffered, and I am worried about her condition. I kindly appeal to the donors to consider my daughter through their support. As a mother, I will resume my usual job as I take care of my baby.”
