Jersy is a hardworking 15-year-old student from Uganda. He has five siblings, and his mom works as a small-scale farmer, while his father works as a primary school teacher. Jersy goes to boarding school, where he is dedicated to his studies and enjoys playing football in his free time.
Two weeks ago, Jersy developed a small swelling on his right big toe. He was initially unconcerned, but when it became painful, he decided to seek medical care at school. When his symptoms did not improve, his father brought him to our medical partner’s hospital, where he was diagnosed with an infected mass on the right big toe. Currently, he experiences pain and cannot put on shoes.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On April 8th, surgeons will perform mass excision surgery. Jersy’s family needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Jersy’s father said, “I request and seek financial support towards my son’s surgery, and I hope and pray that it may be a successful surgery.”
