Annitah is a 22-year-old lady from Uganda. She completed Senior Four and later enrolled in a journalism training course, hoping to gain skills that would help her build a better future. Unfortunately, she was unable to complete the course because of a lack of school fees. Annitah later found work at a hotel. However, she faced another difficult experience when she was not paid her salary, forcing her to leave the job. Her husband is a porter at the hotel, but left home two months ago to look for work and has not come back yet. To meet her daily needs, Annitah practices small-scale farming, mainly growing beans on other people’s land. Her farming activities provide only a limited income and are not enough to cover the cost of her planned surgery and other hospital expenses.
Annitah is pregnant, and her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Annitah undergo a C-Section on October 5th. This procedure will cost $207, and Annitah needs your support.
Annitah says, “I greatly thank God for protecting my life up to this day and for enabling me to reach Ibanda Hospital safely. However, I am stuck because I don’t know where I will get money for my operation. I therefore request assistance. I will continue practicing farming, and if I get money, I will go back to school to finish my course.’’
