“My wife has always been there for me and our children until she fell ill. I now need to be there for her through this difficult time,” says Charles.
Meet Charles, an 85-year-old man from Kenya who has a broken left arm. Charles received different treatment than expected after a subsequent biopsy.

The doctors decided to cancel the surgery and place Charles under palliative care to manage the pain.”
If we receive any further information on Charles’ condition, we will provide an update. Charles is still eligible for funding on Watsi if he needs surgery in the future.
