Lydia is a 39-year-old woman from Uganda. She works as a small-scale farmer alongside her husband, and the couple have two children. The family lives in a modest two-roomed mud house on rented land. Although they own a small plot of land, it is not sufficient for farming, so they rely on cultivating other people’s land for a living. Their income is extremely limited, and barely meets their daily needs.
Lydia is currently expecting her third baby. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Lydia undergo a C-section on May 13th, at Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital. This procedure will cost $207, and Lydia needs your support.
Lydia said: “I am deeply grateful to the medical team of Ibanda Hospital for their services. However, I do not have the financial means to pay for the operation required. I humbly seek assistance, and hope for a successful surgery. With your support, I look forward to rebuilding my life, continuing to farm, and providing proper care for my family.”
