Dorothy is a farmer from Uganda. She is married with two children. She farms for a living, growing food crops for home consumption and selling the surplus to generate an income for the family. Her husband is employed in the boda-boda motorcycle taxi business.
In 2022, Dorothy gave birth to her third child who was stillborn. She is currently expecting and doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Dorothy undergo a caesarian section on May 15th. This procedure will cost $252 and Dorothy needs your support.
Dorothy says, “I kindly request that you have mercy on me. Help me with my delivery because I don’t know where else I can get money to pay for my surgery.”
