Robin is a 14-year-old boy from Kenya. “I wish to become a doctor in the future so that I can help children with physical conditions, just like the doctors at CURE have helped me.” Robin shared. He is currently in Grade 7, and the second and last-born child in a family whose parents are small-scale farmers.
Robin has a misalignment of his legs, a condition that has affected his life from an early age. His journey with CURE began in 2017, and since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries to correct the condition and improve his mobility. Despite the many challenges he has faced, Robin remains hopeful, resilient, and determined to achieve his dream. His own experience has inspired him to pursue a career in medicine so that he can one day help other children facing similar challenges.
Robin is currently admitted at the hospital, where he is schedule to undergo another surgery on September 1st, as a step towards improved mobility and a better quality of life. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,224 to cover the cost of Robin’s procedure and care.
“I look forward to having my legs corrected, and being able to walk like other children,” Robin said.
