Sokkea is a 57-year-old woman who lives in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. Over the years, Sokkea has worked various jobs in her village, but is now unemployed and supported by relatives. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and chatting with her neighbors.
Sokkea has a mass on the right side of her face that has grown in size over the last twenty years. In March 2025, she had a biopsy of the mass. Sokkea’s mass is benign, but causes discomfort, difficulty eating, and talking.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre can help. On June 19th, Sokkea will have surgery to remove the mass, address the discomfort, and prevent future health complications. She is able to contribute $100 but needs help to raise $741 more to fund her procedure and care.
Sokkea shared, “I hope I can feel better after surgery and try to find a new job.”
