Kyla is a 23-year-old woman from the Philippines. She stopped working due to her health, but was able to secure a part-time job as an encoder.
One year ago, Kyla began to experience troubling symptoms, including weakness in her body and pain in her abdomen that radiates to her back. Kyla was diagnosed with gallstones and needs to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, her symptoms will continue to worsen and put her at risk for further health complications in the future.
After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Kyla is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on August 15th. A portion of the cost of the procedure is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,031 to cover the cost of Kyla’s surgery and care.
Kyla shared, “I am very much thankful to organizations that support me in this difficult time of my life.”
