Phally is a 57-year-old grandmother from Cambodia. She is married and has a son and grandchildren. Phally supports herself by selling fried bananas. In her free time, she enjoys listening to news on the radio.
Phally developed cataracts in each of her eyes, which has made it difficult for her to see and work. Hearing about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from a nurse at church, she travelled with her sister to seek treatment.
On February 22, Phally will undergo a phacoemulsification procedure and receive intraocular implants in each of her eyes at our medical partner’s care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre. CSC is asking for $292 to cover the cost of Phally’s treatment.
After surgery, Phally is looking forward to seeing clearly again!
