John is a three-year-old boy from Kenya. His father works as a motorcycle driver, and his mother is a housewife.
When John was seven months old, his mother noticed that he had an abnormal condition in a sensitive area. They visited a government hospital, where doctors recommended surgery. However, the family could not afford treatment. Without surgery, John risked the development of an inguinal hernia or infertility.
Fortunately, John’s family visited our medical partner’s hospital. He underwent an orchidopexy repair surgery on December 5. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, has requested $542 to fund this treatment.
“I wish that my son can lead a normal lifestyle like any other boy,” says John’s mother.
