Say hello to Soy, a proud father of seven children and grandfather of twenty! Soy is 79-years-old and lives in Cambodia with his family.
“Soy’s vision is so blurry due to his cataracts that he is partially blind,” explains our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). “He can’t see anything more than shapes and finds it difficult to eat, go outside, or do any work by himself.”
$150 will restore vision in Soy’s right eye. After surgery, CSC tells us, “He wants to go back to his farm, look after his grandchildren, and see the royal palace clearly.”

Soy received cataract surgery.
Soy’s doctor at Children’s Surgical Centre writes, “The patient now has clear vision out of his right eye. Soy is really happy that he can now help his son do work at the farm, plant crops around his house to feed his family, and can come visit his grandson in Phnom Penh and see the royal palace.”
