Say is a 36-year-old man from Burma who lives with his wife, son, and two daughters in Thailand. His son and older daughter are students, and he and his wife work as agricultural day laborers.
In February 2026, Say was climbing a jackfruit tree to pick fruit for his family when a branch snapped, and he fell five meters, landing directly on his extended left leg. He was in severe pain and could not stand or move his leg. An X-ray revealed a fractured left tibia requiring surgery. He remains in constant pain, aggravated whenever he tries to use crutches, and is unable to participate in daily activities.
Fortunately, on April 23rd, our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, will help Say undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. This procedure will cost $1,500, and Say needs your support to fund the surgery.
Say said, “I feel worried. Now my wife is only able to work. My friend helps support our family with rice, and without it, we would not have been able to survive. But, I know that we can’t continue to depend on him for so long.”
