Lika is a five-year-old girl from Cambodia. She has two sisters. She likes to play with toys with her sisters and friends. She loves to dance.
Four years ago, she was burned by a fire. Burn scar contractures have developed, tightening the skin around her burn. It is difficult for her to move her hand and fingers.
When Lika learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for two and a half hours seeking treatment. On February 7, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to to use her fingers again. Now, she needs help to fund this $448 procedure.
She says, “I look forward to dancing and playing with my sisters when I get home.”
