Ryan is a child from Kenya. He lives with his single mother and maternal grandmother in Limuru. Ryan and his mother are fully dependent on his grandmother for their basic needs.
Ryan was diagnosed with cryptorchidism, a condition in which one or both of the testicles remains undescended. If left untreated, Ryan has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems in the future.
Ryan will be receiving assistance from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). Fortunately, he is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on February 22. AMHF is requesting $459 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
“I have no one to turn to and hope to get help so that my baby can grow up to be like other men,” Ryan’s mother said.
