"We can't wait for our child to start leading a normal life again, and mixing with friends his own age," Simon's parents say about their five-year-old son. Meet Sorn, an 80-year-old man from Cambodia! “Sorn has had mature cataracts for a year, and he can no longer do anything by himself, although he has no one nearby who can help him around the house and around his village,” says our medical partner Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). Meet Sorn, an 80-year-old man from Cambodia. CSC continues, "Sorn's day consists of going to the pagoda and listening to monk prayers and also soliciting their advice on life matters. He hasn't been able to go to the pagoda recently, and he is very sad because of it. His sister was gracious enough to inform him about CSC and the quality surgery we do, so he made a five hour trek from his home province seeking care for his eyes."
