About three months ago, You Ra broke his arm. He sought treatment from a traditional healer in his village, but the bones have not healed properly. You Ra tells his doctors that he's experiencing significant pain and is unable to work at full capacity because of the injury. The best treatment for You Ra's broken arm is surgery and physiotherapy. This should enable him to regain function in his arm. You Ra is a farmer and lives in Cambodia. He has five children, and most of his disposable income goes to them. Pamela is a 28-year-old wife and mother of three from the Philippines. For the past two years, Pamela's thyroid gland has grown increasingly large, creating a very noticeable goiter on the side of her neck. The goiter causes Pamela a lot of discomfort, changes her voice, and makes it difficult for Pamela to swallow or eat. She is also very self-conscious about the way it looks. Her family cannot afford their own home and are currently living with Pamela's mother. Pamela takes care of all the household chores and helps prepare snack food that her mother sells for money. Pamela's husband is a security guard who earns less than $50 a week. With such a small salary and a large family to support, they have been unable to save the money needed to remove Pamela's goiter. We can fund the surgical removal of the goiter for $460, thereby preventing any further damage to Pamela's throat. Let's fund her surgery and allow her to get back to living her life!
