Michael is a six-year-old boy from Kenya. He is the youngest in a family of five children and is in 1st grade. Michael is very creative and loves making toy cars using wires. He enjoys having his friends visit and play with the toys he makes. Michael’s parents are farmers, working hard to provide for their family. Michael was born with a clubfoot on his right foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. From the day he was born, he started treatment with serial casting, where doctors put a cast on his foot to adjust his muscle and bone but his foot has not improved. Michael walks on tiptoe and often complains of pain while walking. On September 24th, Michael will undergo clubfoot repair surgery and our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,286 to fund Michael's treatment. After treatment, he will be able to walk without pain, play with his friends, and pursue his studies like other children. Michael's mother shared, "I am looking forward to seeing him walk like other children. I will be grateful to God, Cure Hospital, and the donors who support the hospital."

Christopher is a one-year-old infant from Haiti, deeply loved by his single mother. Christopher was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain, causing increased pressure. This has led to a rapid increase in Christopher's head size, and, without urgent treatment, he faces the risk of severe physical and developmental delays. Our medical partner, Project Medishare, is requesting $897 to cover the cost of surgery for Christopher at Hospital Bernard Mevs, the only site in the country where this care is available. The procedure, scheduled for August 27th, will drain the excess fluid from his brain, relieving the intracranial pressure and significantly improving his quality of life. With proper treatment, Christopher will hopefully develop into a strong, healthy young boy. Christopher's mother shared, " I look forward to seeing Christopher thrive and live a healthy, happy life."

Rehema is a two-year-old baby girl from Kiambu County in Kenya. She is the youngest of three children and currently resides with her grandmother. Her mother went to Saudi Arabia in hopes of finding a job but is currently having a very hard time getting by and plans to return to Kenya soon. Recently, Rehema experienced a fall, hurting her right arm and was taken to a local hospital. She was diagnosed with a closed fracture of the humerus (upper arm bone) and after receiving the initial treatment, a cast was applied. However, her arm did not heal properly and she needs surgery to heal the shape and function. Fortunately, Rehema was brought to our medical partner's care center, Nazareth Hospital and has been scheduled for a fracture repair surgery on October 14th. The treatment will ensure proper healing for Rehema's arm and help it regain function. Now, Rehema's family needs help to fund this 1,048 procedure. With gratitude, Rehema's grandmother says, "Thank you. I am so happy that my granddaughter will receive this much needed treatment. I look forward to seeing her hand in the correct position as she grows up."
