Lavine's dream is to finish school and raise an educated family. She is about to give birth to her first child, and to prepare, she participated in a maternal health program where she learned about the importance of good hygiene and staying healthy during pregnancy. As a result of what Lavine learned in the maternal health program, she wants to deliver in a hospital with a skilled birth attendant. Davis has overcome tremendous adversity in his young life already. After suffering from paralysis on one side of his body as a child, Davis now can stand and even walk. Davis' early challenges, however, masked the fact that he suffers from a deformity in his foot, which impedes him from walking properly despite all the progress he's made. A $1,000 surgery will repair Davis' foot and grant him full mobility, bringing his recovery to a close!

Say hello to Dainess! This sweet girl is seven years old and has seven siblings. She loves playing handball with other kids but can’t anymore due to her condition. Dainess has a flexion contracture and infection in her right knee, which severely limits her ability to walk. Her mobility will not improve without treatment. Unfortunately, her parents can’t afford the necessary operation as they are small-scale farmers and have already spent quite a bit of money taking their daughter to various hospitals. Dainess is ready get her mobility back. “I wish to be able to walk and run like I used to and go to school like my brothers and sisters,” she says.
