"It all happened right in front of my eyes—he was just passing the baggage, and he fell down," Gowinda’s father explains about his son's accident. Gowinda is a 17-year-old tenth-grade student who lives in Nepal.
“Gowinda was unloading luggage from a bus when he lost his balance and fractured his right wrist,” explains our medical partner, Possible. “He has been in pain since then, and the area of injury has swollen, too.”
Gowinda and his parents support themselves by farming, but the food that they grow sustains them for only seven months of the year. This makes paying for additional expenses, such as medical care, challenging.
For $224, “Gowinda's fractured bones will be aligned, and a cast will be put on to ensure it heals well,” says Possible. Funding also pays for an overnight hospital stay, X-rays, physiotherapy, and cast removal after his wrist has healed.
Let’s help fund this important treatment for Gowinda!
