Pisey is a nine-year-old student. She has one sister and two brothers.
Three years ago, Pisey had a severe ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her left ear to perforate. For this reason, Pisey experiences pain, hearing loss, and ear discharge. She cannot communicate clearly with others and she is in chronic pain.
Pisey traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On October 26th, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her left ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $464 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care.
Pisey says, "I really hope my pain will go away and I can hear and feel better at school."
