Meet Vibol, an 11-year-old boy from Cambodia! He is in the fifth grade and enjoys playing soccer and studying math.
Since birth, Vibol has been dealing with strabismus, or the misalignment of his right eye. His condition causes him to appear cross-eyed and has affected his self-confidence. “He is so shy with his friends and around other children, who call him names," explains our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC).
For only $290, Vibol will receive the treatment necessary to correct his right eye. If left untreated, he risks permanent vision loss in that eye. “I look forward to having eyes straight like other kids and not being shy anymore," he tells us. Let’s help Vibol live a happy childhood!
