"We hope that our daughter will one day be able to walk properly like other children. Having straight legs will allow her to walk to school and be able to run and compete with other children in sports," says Nasau's parents.
Meet Nasau, a friendly six-year-old girl from Tanzania. She likes coloring pictures and playing with lego blocks and cards. Nasau has been diagnosed with bilateral genu valgus, a severe deformity of the limbs.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundations tells us, “Nasau cannot walk without knocking her knees, and that causes her to walk slow. If left untreated, she will most likely develop early osteoarthritis." With two other children to care for, Nasau's parents badly want to help her, but they cannot afford the cost of surgery. Until her legs are operated on, their daughter is unable to attend school.
For $940, we can fund the treatment to correct Nasau’s lower limbs.
