Meet Khom, a 53-year-old grandmother from Cambodia. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her three grandchildren.
Khom has been diagnosed with a herniated disc. Her spinal problem has left her in pain and unable to work or walk properly. Pain medication has also proven to be ineffective for Khom.
Khom travelled with her daughter for four hours to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, for treatment. Khom will undergo spine surgery on December 4. Her $930 medical bill will include a two week hospital stay and post-op physiotherapy sessions.
“I hope my mother will get better,” shares Khom’s daughter.
