Prakash is an eight-year-old boy who lives with his parents and siblings. He studies in lower kindergarten. His parents farm for a living, and his father seasonally migrates to India to work as a laborer.
Prakash was climbing a wall with his friends when he fell onto his left wrist. Since then, his hand has swollen and grown painful. He needs help eating and changing his clothes. His family took a two-hour jeep ride to reach our medical partner’s hospital, Bayalpata Hospital.
On November 6, Prakash was fitted with a cast to help his wrist heal. After treatment, Prakash will regain full mobility in his wrist and hand. His family needs help to fund this $195 procedure.

Prakash underwent successful fracture repair.
Prakash’s fractured bones were aligned correctly and secured. Doctors have suggested two weeks of bedrest while Prakesh recovers from the operation. Medication will help him control post-surgery pain.
