Loel is a father of two from the Philippines. He worked as a construction worker and did minor house repairs. However, due to his condition, he had to stop working. He depends on his wife’s income as a house helper for their daily needs.
Nine years ago, Loel began to experience troubling symptoms causing pain, discomfort, and bleeding. He was diagnosed with mixed hemorrhoids. As his condition was left untreated, it worsened. Loel requires surgery to prevent his symptoms from getting worse.
Fortunately, our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), is helping Loel receive treatment. He is scheduled to undergo a hemorrhoidectomy on April 27th. During this procedure, surgeons will remove his hemorrhoids. A portion of the cost of his treatment is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,285 to cover the cost of Loel’s procedure and care.
Loel shared, “Thank you very much for your help. Considering my income, I will never be able to afford the surgery that I need so I am very grateful that there are people and organizations who are willing to help people like us.”
