En is a potato and rice farmer from Cambodia. He has four sons. He likes to watch boxing matches and social programs on TV.
One year ago, En developed a cataract in each eye, causing him blurred vision, a burning sensation, clouded lenses, and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When En learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On February 6, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $398 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see everything clearly so I can continue my work at the farm.”
