Timothy is a 9-month old baby boy. Timothy was found with malaria which is accompanied by high fevers, diarrhea and affected his breastfeeding.
He is the fourth child and only boy among girls. Timothy and his parents live in Alebtong District about 1000km from Bwindi Community Hospital. Timothy’s parent are both farmers; they grow cash crops like cotton and sunflower on small scale which they sell to get school fees for their daughters, and food crops like beans and cassava for family consumption but not enough to sell and support Timothy’s treatment.
When Timothy is well he enjoys playing with his siblings and crawling around the compound, playing in the sand, water and flowers.
His father “Moses” hopes to take Timothy to school when he gets well and is of school-going age so he can be like his sisters. His sisters are on top of all the classes they attend.
Timothy’s treatment occurred on 10/21/2016.
“I thank the donors for supporting my son’s treatment,” says Moses. “I hope when he grows up he can become a doctor and help the people in our community.”
