Sreng is a grandmother from Cambodia. She has ten grandchildren and likes going to the pagoda.
Three months ago, Sreng developed a cataract in each eye, causing her vision loss, sensitivity to light, and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sreng learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On December 14, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $398 procedure.
Her husband said, “I hope my wife can see more clearly and go places on her own.”
