Himal is a two-year-old boy from Nepal. He lives with his parents, who are both farmers. Because their field only yields enough food to feed the family for four months of the year, Himal’s father also works as a laborer in India.
While Himal was playing on the roof of his house, he fell to the ground and fractured his right hand. His hand became swollen and painful, making it difficult for him to eat and dress. Himal’s family traveled two days to reach our medical partner’s care center, Bayalpata Hospital, for treatment. On February 5, Himal will undergo a fracture repair surgery on his right hand. Our medical partner, Possible, is requesting $195 to fund the procedure.
