Kirabo is a 35-year-old homemaker from a village in Uganda. When she graduated from primary school she joined an institution and gained certification in weaving. After working for three years, Kirabo married her husband and moved in together where her husband also has his tailoring store.
Kirabo has had a swelling around her umbilical area for seven years, and in 2023, when Kirabo gave birth to twins, the swelling became painful. Ever since then she hasn’t been able to work because of the severe epigastric pains.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping her access treatment and requests $201 to fund Kirabo’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will allow her to live more comfortably.
Kirabo says, “I have hopes of being operated on and, with much faith, am sure my surgery will be successful. After surgery, I hope to be able to lift heavy loads, do heavy activities again, and continue farming as I develop my family. May God bless you.”
