Kanhchanak is a 19-year-old from Cambodia. He attends secondary school, but when he’s not studying, he likes to help his parents with house work and play football with his friends.
On April 2, Kanhchanak was involved in a car accident that left him with a fractured leg. The fracture is painful and makes it difficult for Kanhchanak to walk. After the accident, Kanhchanak’s mother took him to a Khmer traditional healer for treatment, but his leg did not heal. He made a four-hour trip from his hometown to see the doctors at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC).
On August 3, surgeons will perform an open reduction internal fixation on Kanhchanak’s left tibia to heal his fracture. Our medical partner, CSC, is requesting $430 to fund the treatment.
Kanhchanak is looking forward to the day he can play football with his friends again.
