Ferlandy is a 5-year-old boy with a mass on his groin that causes pain and discomfort. Because of his condition, it’s difficult for Ferlandy to participate in everyday activities with his friends and live a normal life.
Fortunately, the mass is benign and Ferlandy’s condition is curable. With surgery, doctors at Wuqu’ Kawoq believe they can relieve Ferlandy’s pain and enable him to live a normal, active life.
Ferlandy’s doctors describe him as “delightful.” He and his family are from a very remote Kaqchikel-speaking village in Guatemala. They do not have the financial resources to make this surgery possible. We hope to cover the cost of Ferlandy’s medical care so he can grow up normally.
