Moeun is 63 years old and has two sons, four daughters, and nine grandchildren. She lives in Cambodia and likes to watch Khmer dramas on TV in her free time.
Four years ago, Moeun developed a cataract in each eye, causing her blurred vision, tearing, cloudy lenses, and photophobia (extreme sensitivity to light). It is difficult for her to see things clearly, do work, and go anywhere by herself.
Moeun heard about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from her neighbor. Moeun traveled one hour with her daughter to reach CSC for treatment.
On March 28, Moeun will undergo a small incision cataract surgery and have an artificial lens implanted in each eye. After the operation, Moeun will be able to see clearly again. CSC is asking for $292 to fund the operation. Your donation will help pay for the eye doctor and nurse, surgical supplies, medication, food, and four nights of hospital stay.
